Health Centre

At St Brendan's College, the Health Centre is managed by a Nurse Manager (RN) and supported by a team of qualified nurses and a designated driver.

For Day Students, the Health Centre is accessible Monday to Friday during school hours. Boarders have 24-hour access to a registered nurse. Direct service hours for boarders are Monday to Friday from 7am to 9:30 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 7am to 11:30 am and 5pm to 9:00pm. Outside these hours, a Registered Nurse is on call to assist boarding staff, who also hold first aid certificates.

St Brendan’s College highly values its partnership with Parents/Guardians and primary health providers, contributing to the care of our boarding community. Yeppoon Family Practice provides a local GP who visits the Health Centre for our boarders every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday during the term.

Our local pharmacy, Yeppoon Day and Night Pharmacy, ensures timely delivery of required medications to our boarders from Monday to Friday each week. Additionally, the College has established partnerships with various allied health services in the local and Rockhampton areas, including Dental, physiotherapists, podiatrists, audiologists, occupational therapists, chiropractors, speech therapists, and mental health services.
